How is the Italian branch organized, and
what characterizes it?
With our main office in Milan, Teleca Solutions Italia is
specialised in consultancy and in designing leading software
solutions for the wireless world, with the aim of increasing
the efficiency and profitability of IT infrastructures. Our
objective is to strengthen the customers market position
and enable a consistent improvement of time-to-market.
Our company is made up of highly skilled technical personnel
and project managers who provide invaluable support to the
customer in terms of development, test services, delivery
of 3G, Wi Fi/Bluetooth and OSS solutions.
When did operations begin in Italy, and
what point are you at now?
Teleca Solutions Italia first began business in Italy in the
first few months of 2001 and today carries a huge customer
base, composed principally of mobile telephone operators,
fixed network operators, Wi/Fi, mobile service providers,
public administration, industries, automotive companies, banks,
and media and financial corporations, all to whom we offer
consultancy, solutions and services.

Could you give us an example of an Italian success story?
Due to our specialisation in the mobile world together with
our wide geographic presence, Teleca has been selected by
H3G to provide a solution for the synchronisation of personal
data with various devices, such as PDAs, 3G mobile phones
and Desktop PCs as well as UMTS telephones. Such a service
is indispensable to those who are constantly on the move with
the systems and internal company networks. The solution, to
be deployed initially in Italy, is based on the open SyncML
standard, which provides a common base from which to negotiate
the exchange of data between several devices. It is the key
component for the future development of OTA (over-the-air)
synchronisation. The solution will allow the creation of advanced
mobile services such as applications for a mobile
office, for the scheduling of multimedia and sporting events,
as well as for automotive and M2M applications. The order
covers services in the areas of development, integration,
implementation, installation and synchronisation support systems.
Telecas solution is the first global synchronisation
system for 3G networks, and connects numerous different systems,
providing users ease in keeping their mobile device data updated,
whether it be in the office or at home. The agreement with
3 strengthens Telecas position as a global provider,
and is in line with our sales strategy.
